Choosing a Stroller That's Right For You
A stroller is usually a foldable four-wheeled carriage which small children can be pulled in. It is a great method to take a leisurely walk or run outside.
Kidsland has a large selection of single and double strollers. The Peg Perego PrimoViaggio 3-in-1 car seat/stroller is one of our best sellers.
How to Choose a Stroller
Strollers are a child's best friend. They allow parents to easily take their kiddos around the city, take them to the great outdoors, or stroll through crowded malls. However, selecting the right stroller for your child and family's needs is essential to ensure a comfortable ride. To pick a stroller ideal for you, you must first consider where you'll be using it and how often. Do you need it to travel on rough terrain and fit into a small car trunk or maneuver through narrow doorways? Consider whether you'll be walking around the city or out in the woods. Once you've decided on the type of stroller and features you require, it's time to test the various models.
Begin with a few laps around the parking area to get familiar with its handling and moves. If you plan to use it for jogging, test the tires for durability and test out how well they move over bumps and uneven sidewalks. Then, consider whether you require a basket for storage to carry essentials or a reclining chair for babies. Make sure the handlebars are able to fit your stride comfortably and that there is enough space for an infant of your height in the seat.
If you're thinking to have more children in the near future, think about buying a single stroller that converts into a double, or allows you to add a stroller board (for toddlers). One of the biggest stroller regrets for parents of Babylist is not buying a convertible model.
If you intend to use the stroller in rainy or other bad weather, make sure that accessories like sun umbrellas and rain covers are attached quickly and easily. Also, make sure to check for a five-point harness system that is easy to buckle and unbuckle with a secure seat, as well as robust brakes. Also, look over the hinges to make sure there aren't sharp edges or areas where a finger might get stuck. Also, ensure that the stroller complies with the safety standards of your state and local authorities. Then, test it with your child to ensure you're both in a good place.
Strollers for One Child
You may only need one stroller if you have just one child. These strollers are usually smaller than larger models and have the same safety features as larger strollers with a canopy to shield your child from wind and sun. These strollers are also more maneuverable, and have fewer components to break.
If your child is still in an infant seat, strollers that have an infant carrier built in could be a great option. These strollers have sturdy frames that can hold more than one seat or even a second baby car seat. They're typically more convenient to use than convertible strollers or double strollers and may cost less upfront, too.
An all-in-one stroller could be a good option for older children. These strollers come with a large wide basket that can hold your child's items and will fit most infant diaper bags. They're also easy to steer and narrow enough to pass through a doorway or bathroom stall. Plus, they fold easily and can be stored in a closet or behind the seat of the vehicle for easy transport.
Consider single pushchairs if you are looking to expand your stroller with your family. They come with an aluminum frame that can accommodate up to two toddler seats or even a baby bassinet. (Adapters and carriers are available separately). These strollers are typically more expensive than single-seaters but they're a great option when you're looking to travel light with your children and are able to accommodate a variety of seating. The UPPAbaby Vista v2 is our top recommendation for a high-end, convertible stroller that comes with premium features and can hold up to three children with ease (age-dependent).
Strollers for Two Children
If you have two small children it is a must to move both simultaneously. There are a variety of options available, including tandems, side-by-side strollers and wagons. Many of the double strollers we tested have the capacity to accommodate a second child seat, or even a third if you add a piggyback ride-along boards (sold separately). Tandem strollers come in more configurations to suit different ages and stages. However they're generally heavier and larger than side-by-side models.

Parents of twins will need a stroller that offers the same seating options as their children. They will likely require a stroller that can accept two infant car seats simultaneously this is something that very few of our top-rated double strollers offer. Twins who are near in age or capability may do better with the tandem stroller, but the choice of seating style will also depend on the distance between them in age and what features they each prefer.
In our tests, we observed that all of the tandem strollers we tested were easy to maneuver and came with a large turning radius. They didn't turn as well in tight spaces as a single-stroller and could be difficult to navigate curbs. The majority of the strollers we reviewed fit in most standard doors, but they may have a more narrow aisle than a single stroller.
Some side-by-side strollers we tested were compatible with an additional toddler seat, however, they don't allow you to swap the seats between the two this would be useful when your children are of opposite age ranges. The UPPAbaby Vista V2 Double is an exception to this rule and it allows you to easily switch between double and single mode using its convertible frame.
Side-by-side strollers are among the most popular style in our double stroller category, and we've tested some of the top options available on the market. They offer the convenience of keeping both kids within sight at all times, and most come with plenty of storage space for your gear. Some come with parent consoles that can help you keep track of your child's wants and needs. They're typically more expensive than a single stroller but some have price tags that are comparable to or less than our top single strollers.
Strollers for Three Kids
If you have three kids (or one singleton with two older twins) then you'll need a stroller that can accommodate all of them. It's a significant purchase, so do your research to find a model that is suitable for your family size as well as your lifestyle and budget.

Another excellent triple stroller option is the Joovy Big Caboose. It has two forward-facing, car seat seats that reclining, and can accommodate children as tall as 32 inches in height. You can also add the rear seat accessory to convert it into a triple tandem stroller with a third regular seat for your oldest child. Many parents opt for a quad stroller which is essentially double stroller that has an additional seat in the back. These models aren't as easy to maneuver but they provide more seating options to a traditional double. The Foundations Trio Sport 4 Passenger Stroller is a good option. It's a bit pricey and has received a lot of praise from parents.
Strollers are crucial for transporting your children around and offering them a comfortable, safe place to relax traveling. However, when it's time to buy a brand new stroller, it is important to know the distinctions between single and double strollers to determine the most suitable model for your family.
